Chinese Artichoke / Crosne (Stachys affinis) 5 TUBERS

Herbaceous perennial plant of the Mint family.  Producing small, white tubers for harvest in October/November.

Can be eaten raw in salads or cooked – Lightly steam and stir fry. A great replacement for water chestnuts – work really well in Chinese dishes.  Pleasant texture when cooked, slightly nutty taste.

Tubers can be planted out between October-April or potted up and planted out in spring once sprouted.
