Asturian Tree Cabbage (Brassica Oleracea)

Short-lived perennial – A Spanish heirloom variety with bright green leaves.  Its habit is more like that of kale but has a distinct cabbagey flavour. Will flower each year but can be kept going by cutting back flowers, leading to a fresh flush of leaves.  A useful addition to the garden or plot as it is often plentiful over the sparse ‘Hungry Gap’ period.  Cuttings can be taken from side shoots
