Nine Star Perennial Broccoli (Brassica Oleracea Botrytis Asparagoides)

A great perennial vegetable, producing in late winter/spring a small central cauliflower head followed by numerous smaller heads from side shoots. The leaves can also be eaten but not too many as this may weaken the plant. Should carry on producing for around 5 years but only if all the flowering heads are harvested each year – otherwise the plant will go to seed and perish.
