Korean Celery (Dystaenia takesimana)

Very hardy perennial with deeply divided leaves and attractive umbels of white flowers on tall stems in from July to September. Prefers cooler temperatures but tolerates warmer conditions once established.  A highly nutritious plant which keeps its greenery throughout the winter months.  Celery-flavoured leaves and stems are a great addition to soups and stews and young leaves can be used as an alternative to flat parsley, or chopped into salads.

Prefers moist, rich soil in full sun to partial shade.

A great attractant for bees and other insects. Height 1.5 metres.
