A tough, hardy perennial.  A magnificent plant for attracting bees and other beneficial insects - especially hoverflies.  Long feathery, aromatic leaves with clusters of tiny white or pink-tinged flowers for much of the year. Can reach 60cm/24" high.

Yarrow has a long history as a medicinal herb and has been used to treat a range of ailments from nosebleeds to reducing fevers.  The fresh leaves (having antibacterial properties) can be used on cuts and wounds and to stem nosebleeds.  It has also been used as a tea to aid relief from colds and fevers and as a tincture for a range of circulatory and women's ailments.
