Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium)

Price range: £3.50 through £10.00

Short-lived bushy perennial reaching 60cm/2feet high and wide with aromatic, pinnately-lobed leaves and small daisy-like flowers.  Prefers a sunny position and well-drained soil.  Will spread over time especially near bare ground.

Feverfew has long been used medicinally, primarily for reducing fevers.  More recent research indicates uses for migraines.  Bruised or infused leaves can be used as a soothing wash.  Mainly used as a herbal tea – harvest leaves and flower heads in summer and dry for use year-round.

Great for attracting bees and other beneficial insects.
