Turkish Rocket (Bunias orientalis)

A perennial plant with edible leaves, stems and flowers.  Reaching 1-5ft/30-150cm) and 1-3ft/30-90cm wide.

Raw or cooked, Turkish Rocket can be used much like kale or broccoli.  Young leaves are best eaten raw and have a mustardy-broccoli flavour.  Cut finely and add to salads.

Turkish Rocket is self-fertile; flowering late Spring to early Summer.  It does seed readily.  Drought-tolerant and due to its deep tap root – is a great mineral accumulator.

Great for attracting beneficial insects.
